Warriors Reflection, Giants and Sharks!

Sorry folks it’s all about sports lately. My life has been nothing but work, work, and work! But its sports that gets me through and my wife of course!

Warriors Game 2

On the front page of the Sports section for the Mercury News was a 6 x 11 photo of the starting line-up. The referee pointing at Baron Davis, Steven Jackson’s mouth wide open, JR with a face of confusion, Barnes pulling back on Jackson and Beidrens staring on and Nellie in the background looking at the ground. This summarized the Warriors pitiful Game 2 against the Mavericks. Too many turnovers, worrying about calls and not playing the game. The Warriors simply lost their composure and forgot to play fundamental basketball. But this Warriors team is making a statement. They are tough in a thuggish Iverson way and you better bet that in Game 3 at home in the ghetto town of Oakland that they are going to take it to the Mavericks.

And despite Davis ejected in the third and Jackson in the fourth, the Mavericks didn’t destroy the Warriors. They had a chance to be in the game. Nowitzki is all but missing, not knowing how to deal with the double teams and the Warriors do what we do in street ball, they switch on everything and play mostly man D with some zone. They count on their speed. The Warriors need to keep their cool and stick with the game plan. Don’t drive in on 4 big guys inside! Kick it out to Jackson who can hit those outside shots. Dribble around slow big guys and hit short range jumpers. They lost control and it became 1 on 4 selfish basketball. Hopefully Nellie puts the smack down but Game 3 and 4 in the Arena, my money is on the Warriors! The Warriors were killing me and Frank while watching that game don’t do that again!

Giants 7 Game Win Streak!

We were too harsh on the Giants in their first games and now they are red hot with an 8 game win streak and they swept the Dodgers. Tied for 1st place! Go Giants and go Barry at 731 with 14 more to go!

Sharks Take Game 1 Verses Detroit!

2-0 first game. Go Freakin Sharks!
