If you wonder why we keep losing in international games, it's because we don't have our best! This year with Kobe, Lebron and Carmello, Kidd, Prince we are unstoppable!

Michael Vick Throwing Away Blessings
Sometimes I just help but wonder why people that are so blessed just throw their lives away. Earlier this year when Michael Vicks' brother Marcos Vick had not only troubles on the field but also in his personal life, I asked myself why didn't Michael put some sense into his brother to shape up.Now all the pieces seem to fall together. You can take the thug out of the streets and onto a football field, but you can never take the thug out of the man. For many of us that grew up in tough neighborhoods, I'd like to think that this helped us to rise above it all and to fight to no longer be a part of that world. We take advantage of all opportunities we have to succeed at all costs to not live such lives of poverty.
Michael and Marcos had opportunities that none of us could ever dream of. Imagine a life where you are blessed with the athletic ability to play quarterback in the National Football League. Now continue to imagine a life where you are Michael Vick and you rush 1,000 yards a season as a quarterback! On top of it all an ability to make $130 million dollars. I'd do it for as much as I need to live if I had the ability!
The Vick brothers and Pac Man Jones and the like just do not seem to understand what it takes to truly be an example to society. Perhaps money corrupts but folks simply take their blessings for granted and that is simply just too sad.

Barry Bonds Makes History

A day after I went to the game in hopes of catching 756, Tuesday August 7, 2007 against the Washington Nationals Barry Bonds made history by passing Henry Aaron's home run records of 755. He did this in a Giants uniform and he did it right here at home in AT&T park. But what is true greatness? Not to do it once but to do it again.
The next day Wednesday August 8, 2007, Barry blew past the record and hit 757 last night against the same Washington Nationals team
A big congratulations to Barry Bonds! This is a moment in history! In San Francisco we LOVE YOU Barry!

Barry No Hit!
Frank and I had the best seats ever! 8 rows from the field we were right in front of the pitchers warm up area in foul ball territory. The energy was high, everytime Barry was up the crowd went wild. The game itself was a bore. Tied 1 - 1 in the first inning nothing else happened in 9 innings. We stayed for extra innings and the Nationals scored 1 in the 10th. With Barry out of the line up we scored 1 to tie the game 2 - 2. We got to work. The bases were loaded with NO outs! Winn takes a line drive to the center and the game was over 3 - 2 in the 11th. We left the park at 11PM, true fans unlike those that left after Barry's last at bat but we were true fans and stayed to the end. Knowing our luck Barry will probably hit it tonight!
The most impressive is to see Tim Lincecum in action! http://sanfrancisco.giants.mlb.com/team/player.jsp?player_id=453311 The boy is young or I'm just getting old, but at 23 it is exciting to see the Giants finally building for the future. He pitched 6 innings over 100+ pitches. The kid is amazing!
Go Giants and Barry let's do this!
