Learning About Ava

Ava is a simple girl. She cries upon 3 basic reasons:

1) Pee

2) Poo

3) Hunger

Things we've learned about our daughter so far...

1) She's a spit image of her Daddy (physically and characteristically)

2) When she's mad, she swings her hands like in a cat fight

3) Loves to be cuddled

4) Doesn't like to be naked

5) A lot of hair. Head is full of black silky hair!

Thank You All for the Warm Wishes

Baby Ava is slowly adjusting to her new life. She got her basics down and we're hoping she will adjust to our schedule. UPDATE: She came out at 8 pounds and 20 inches. Here are some new pictures of Ava! She likes to do the choo pull and usually sneaks her hands out no matter how we swaddle her. (Like Dad per Mom). She also likes to sleep on one hand in a semi-modeling pose. She is such a blessing!

Announcing New Addition Ava Alexis Wang!

After 22 hours at the hospital, on Friday May 23, 2008 at 5:54PM, Ava Alexis Wang was welcomed into this world at 8 lbs and barely less than an ounce. Baby, Mommy, Daddy are all doing fine. Mommy only gained 25 pounds and had the the strength to push for 1 hour in the natural manner. A big thanks to all the friends and family in Colorado & California, friends and co-workers around the world connecting with us directly in the room through Google Talk on 2 Blackberry's, SMS text messaging, phone and e-mail to wish us well!

Words cannot express how excited we are to welcome our new daughter into this world. Life is a challenge in many arenas and in addition to learning lifes challenges through our own lives, it is now our role to shelter Ava best we can and train her to be prepared for the joys and challenges that the world will throw at her.

For now Baby Ava enjoy being a kid and growing up with the love of your Mom, Dad, Family and Friends!Ava we love you and welcome to this world! More photos to come!

Just a Tough Week

I've had so many good weeks but this last week has probably been the toughest I have seen in quite some time. I believe a great line from Denzel's wife in Remember the Titans was "Sometimes life is just hard for no reason at all." Some challenges affected me directly me and others were just things I watched disapprovingly from a distance. All in all I think I mitigated the risks that affected me the best that I could and the things that I cannot control I have no choice but to leave them be. What I truly dislike is to watch bad things happen to good people. Even good people have flaws, but none deserve being treated the way that they were. What I have found is that what is meant to be is meant but life is just hard sometimes for no reason at all but the people that are involved.

Good Music and Snippets

Been really swamped with my 4 and coming onto 5 lives. I am exhausted at times but recharged daily and ready for the daily grind. Been trying to catch up with as many folks as possible before Ava arrives. Really excited yet nervous at the same time. Finally going to hit badminton today. It's been a month and the weight is starting to pour on. Got back from Cancun, the temples were amazing and mi espanol es bastante still. Big congrats to Patrick's B-party! It was a great time of relaxation! Lots of weddings going on as it is wedding bells again.


Wondering where I get my energy? Musica! A few good songs that have been energizing me on the way to work enjoy!
