Times like these make me think about family, because family tends to be the only constant unconditional in greek Agape love. Beyond my immediate family I wanted to make a dedication to my nieces and nephews who I know often read this blog! Here we are Chinese New Year with our Cal gear!

From bottom left to right. The little girl posing is Victoria nicknamed Bear. She has quite a personality developing and is very considerate ever since she was little. The youngest of the bunch is young Felicity with the pacifier in her mouth. She has brought so much joy to her family and I have not seen a prouder father! Of course little Ava there in the mix with her Google bib! Next to Ava is Ashlyn who has grown up to be the sum of her sisters and then some! She is a great big sister to Ava also sweet and considerate! On the far right is Alicia nicknamed Pizza who is perhaps the goofiest of the bunch but growing up very quickly probably following the lead of her big sister. Also missing is Jaylen and Jacob who I know are going to be football players someday in the future! You kids have too much energy!
The top row is what I consider the original 3 (Kenny missing). The original 3 are kids that I have had the honor of being Uncle to for over 10 years. From the left is Vincent who is growing up to be a young gentleman and I am proud of the man he has become. His latest lesson is on responsibility and earning money from chores to buy what he likes. On the right is Amanda Panda who is also growing up to be a young lady but hopefully not too fast. Amanda always had a good night note for me when we were in Hong Kong and she has a wonderful heart. Last but definitely not least is Kenny who was not in the picture. Kenny I have known for more than half of his life and I have not met a smarter kid trying to find his way. I am confident that his college years will guide him to the future that he seeks.
How do you overcome the bad people that you meet? I make it a goal to teach the next generation properly, to value the right things and also to guard against those bad folks that may cross their paths so they are prepared for such encounters.
To all my nieces and nephews, your Uncle sends his love from California!
